BBC Music Magazine Award
The Smetana Trio was given the BBC Music Magazine Award, the second most prestigious award in the UK in classical music. The public chose the winner from 3 CDs. It is a great achievement for the specific music of Bohuslav Martinů, which certainly deserves the international recognition this award brings. The Smetana Trio already won first place in the Chamber Music category back in 2007 and this year's success only confirms the qualities of this musical ensemble, which is also a member of the PETROF Art Family. The CD was recorded at the Martínek Studio in Prague on the PI Orchestra grand piano from 1979.
