HIGHER SERIES
HIGHER SERIES
Pianos of the Higher Series have captured the hearts of our customers, with whom they are traditionally the most popular instruments. The main reason for this is the optimal height of the instruments, which at the same time maintain their outstanding acoustic capacity. This gives them a wide dynamic range and an unusually rich sound. These pianos are very elegant and ideal for many types of studio and hall. They also make fine instruments to accompany ballet, musicals, or classical dance. We produce Higher Series instruments in a number of variants, and confidently assert that every pianist will find in this series a design that appeals to him.
P 125 G1
The design cabinet of the G1 adds a number of elegant decorative elements to the classical appearance of the P125. This means it not only sounds good, but looks splendid too. Its qualities shine in a whole range of musical ensembles, schools, and places of entertainment, as well as in the foyers of theatres and concert halls, where its characteristic romantic sound gives pleasure to pianists and audiences alike.

The P 122 N2 is the smallest in the Higher Series. We recommend it for beginners and advanced pianists, for teaching at basic and upper music schools, as an instrument to accompany singing and recitals, and for playing in a chamber orchestra or other musical ensemble. The cabinet design is modern and simple, and its panels, legs and supports have strictly geometric shapes.
P 122 H1
We developed the P122 H1 in answer to customer requests. With the design of its cabinet, and especially its distinctive keybed, it proudly harks back to the roots of the piano-maker’s art in Europe. While at first sight the cabinet appears minimalistic, it boasts some precisely elaborate and detailed features. The final shape of the instrument was the inspiration of specialists at our Technological centre, and we are sure that this piano will find many happy customers.

STYLE COLLECTION
STYLE COLLECTION
The upright models in the Style Collection derive from successful grand pianos in the same series. The high proportion of work done by hand makes every instrument an original, encapsulating the personalities of our craftsmen. Our master carver’s inspiration comes from Rococo and Classical art. For their part, our intoners endow the hammers with the necessary qualities to give the piano its typically open, rounded and romantic tone. The Style Collection series enjoys great popularity with our customers, and for this very reason has become an integral part of our production.
P 118 R1 Rococo
As its name suggests, the P 118 R1 upright is built by our piano-making craftsmen in the Rococo style. This ensures it a place in interiors and halls of the same originally French style. The Rococo model is most remarkable for being white with patinaed features, making it as decorative as its rich, soft and romantic tone - typical of all PETROF instruments.
P 118 C1 Chippendale
In building this instrument we devote special attention to the wood carving. Its precise design makes the P 118 C1 upright a work of art in the style of Chippendale. The piano goes with any matching interior , where it will draw attention with its perfect construction and its characteristic singing tone, which will stir the hearts of every pianist and his audience.
P 118 D1 Demichippendale
The P 118 D1 from the Style Collection derives from successful grand pianos of the same series. The Demichippendale is remarkable for its elegant lines, and has the same typical romantic sound. You can add to the uniqueness of the instrument by choosing from a wide palette of the most varied finishes. This means you can easily match the instrument to interiors of similar style.

SPECIAL COLLECTION
SPECIAL COLLECTION
The unique pianos in the Special Collection are made to fulfil the wishes and requests of highly discerning customers. It is an honour for us to create a first-class instrument in exact accordance with individual designs. Pianos in this collection are distinguished by the precision of their construction, and every one is exceptional. And of course they still have the gentle, delicate and romantic tone typical of all PETROF instruments.
Magic Egg
This unique instrument combines the brainchild of Ing. arch. Robert Fišer with the diligence, skill and single-mindedness of our workforce. More than 150 years of tradition, experience, patenting and innovation have gone into producing the masterpiece that is the PETROF Magic Egg - its heart full of love and protected by a futuristic and breath-taking shell. In the course of its construction, our employees have devoted themselves to every detail, from the selection of the best quality materials, through precise construction processes, to its sumptuous finish.
P 127 Next
The P 127 upright is an instrument of contemporary modern design. It is characterised by its clean lines, rectangular forms and high-grade materials refined to the finest detail. The instrument is intended for contemporary interiors with modern, minimalistic furniture. We can produce the cabinet sections in almost any finish - from natural veneers to the most diverse shades of colour that best show off its high gloss. The upper panels of this piano can be easily changed. You can alter the piano’s appearance to match the style of your interior or your current mood.
Cabinet
The model for this piano was a design by Ing. arch. Robert Fišer. The instrument has modern, rectangular forms, and for its finish we have opted for a wenge veneer combined with light ivory. However, this model has a variable design and as with the P 127 we can alter its appearance to match your interior or whatever wishes you may have. The panels can be easily changed and we can produce them to order in almost any finish.
P 125 Limited Edition
On the occasion of PETROF’s 150th anniversary we designed and produced the P 125 Limited Edition upright, which derives from the P 125 F1, and whose cabinet is decorated with the rare ZIRICOTE veneer. The wood for this can be found only in Belize, which further intensifies the rarity of this instrument. Its exclusiveness is emphasised even more by the lion sign (used on our pianos ever since the First Republic) and the Limited-Series number on the fallboard. In all, we have produced 50 pianos in this series.
P 125 M1 Venice
The Venice upright piano captures the atmosphere and history from deep underneath Venice. For its construction we use real Venetian veneer from the ancient underground piles upon which Venice is built. The various shades of the wood, with its cracks, give the bevelling the rustic quality of this city on the water, also present in its symbol - the gondolas ploughing century after century through the waters of the Bay of Venice. PETROF’s specialists use their exclusive business contacts to purchase this rare and remarkable veneer so as to emphasise the already extraordinary character of our pianos. The oak piles have endured the extreme conditions of Venice’s subterranean depths and now they emerge on the surface in their most elegant form - as part of a PETROF piano.
P 125 M1 Myrtle
The black colour and high gloss of this model are made special by an unusual veneer from the burr myrtle. Myrtle is a rare shrub growing mostly in the Mediterranean. It has a most interesting appearance with traces of black, and the sight of it conjures up many beautiful images. The burr myrtle’s colouring ranges from light brown with a golden tinge, through dark brown, to black. The common myrtle was consecrated by the Greeks and the Romans to the goddess of love. To this day a sprig of myrtle symbolizes beauty and youth, and is a popular feature in wedding ceremonies. This same myrtle gives the piano even more power to inspire beyond its much-loved rounded and romantic tone.
P 125 F1 Palisander
Rosewood is a much sought-after material for sculpting and carving, and over the last 200 years or so its solid veneer has been prized in the production of high-class furniture and majestic panelling in luxurious interiors. Rosewood is connected with the reign of the French king Louis XV and it was much in vogue with the classical English furniture makers of the 18th century. Rosewood grows mainly in Brazil. Its attractive heartwood has a distinctive stripy grain with violet-red to golden-brown tinges, and this is what makes this Special Collection piano so individual.
P 125 M1 Bubinga
The exotic bubinga is a hard and heavy wood that grows chiefly in west Africa - Cameroon, Gabon and the Ivory Coast. Because of its striking pinkish-red, almost burgundy and purple colour it is often classed as an African rosewood (Dalbergia). After drying, the bubinga is very solid and has a beautiful appearance, which we polish to a high gloss. The most beautiful veneers are known as kevasingo and their typical feature is their rich grain. In combination with the black high gloss of the P125 M1, the bubinga is as captivating as the tone that emanates from this artistic instrument.
P 125 F1 Tineo
The Tineo upright stands out from the Special Collection due to its exotic appearance. Tineo is a rare, unique and matchless wood. It is used in residential architecture for building luxury furniture as well as in the automobile and jewellery industries. It originally comes from South America, mainly from Argentina and Chile, and its colour ranges from pink and red, to soft brown tones. Its dark brown, even black, grain forms decorative patterns that match perfectly the black, high gloss finish of our P 125 F1 upright. This model is remarkable not just by virtue of its colourful and balanced tone, but also its equally captivating appearance.
P 125 F1 Lion – Cut Crystal
This piano also has as its dominant feature the emblem of the lion, which has been ground and sandblasted into a piece of polished crystal glass by specialists at Lasvit. They carry out all tasks by hand. The block of specially molten glass must not have the slightest flaw. Apart from the lion emblem we decorate the piano with inlaid brass strips, which we shape, grind and polish by hand. The Lion - Cut Crystal model is an example of a precise blending of wood and crystal. It brings together two traditional and well-known branches of Czech industry - piano building and glass making.
P 125 G1 Stardust Lion
The first thing you will notice about this piano is the lion emblem set into its upper panel. We colour its edges by hand and cover its surface with the highest quality crystal from the Czech crystal firm Preciosa. These give the Stardust upright a sumptuous and sparkling appearance. Every single crystal is worked and polished against a diamond grindstone so as to make it glitter profusely in both natural and artificial light. The crystals are produced in various shades as well as in metal-plated variants. The silver or gold metallic surface makes the emblem sparkle even more intensely, the advantage of the transparent stones being the wide colour spectrum that they reflect.
